When we’re not authentic, it’s like carrying layers and layers of extra skin. Every layer is a mask—a version of yourself that you feel you have to wear for the world. Each one represents an expectation placed on you by family, work, friends, society. And the more layers you wear, the heavier it gets. Now, imagine a beautiful candle. The wax, the jar—everything about it is glowing, radiant, and stunning.
"This is you, in your purest form".
When you are truly authentic, you are just one layer of skin. Your light is visible, shining effortlessly. There is nothing blocking it. It is brilliant, warm, and powerful.
But the moment you start wearing layers—layers of expectations, roles, and masks—the light starts to disappear. Every time you adjust yourself to fit in, that’s another layer. Every time you suppress your truth, another. Every time you hold back your joy, another.
Until eventually, you are wrapped up so tightly, your light is barely visible. You might feel exhausted, weighed down, disconnected. You might try to fight through it, try to shine through all those layers, but it’s so much harder than it needs to be.
"What If You Just Let It All Go?"
Instead of holding onto these layers, trying to navigate through them, what if you simply took them off? What if you stopped apologizing for who you are and just let yourself exist in your true essence? What if you let yourself enjoy what brings you joy, without judgment, without explanation, without attachment? Then, you wouldn’t have to fight to shine your light.
You would simply be the light. And that is the most powerful, magical, healing thing you could do. You don’t need to force it. You don’t need to prove it.
"Just be".
That is everything.
